Clementine Morisette
Intern
Background
Clementine chose the legal profession because she wanted to utilize her analytical skills in a way that directly impacts the real world, rather than pursuing traditional academic language analysis. While she has gained valuable experience in criminal law and family law, her true passion lies in intellectual property law, particularly as it relates to art and the fashion industry. She loves the philosophical underpinnings of IP law and is working to transition her practice to focus primarily on this area.
One of Clementine’s proudest accomplishments is winning the first jury trial she ever handled independently. She believes the key to success is determination—both to finish something and to finish it well. Beyond legal advocacy, she helps her clients by engaging with them as whole people, understanding that their case is likely the most stressful thing in their life at that moment.
What Clementine enjoys most about the law is the creative side that IP provides, where she can craft innovative arguments while using that creativity to protect others who are passionate about their own creations.
Outside of her legal practice, Clementine enjoys sewing, caring for houseplants, and engaging with the vintage fashion community. She is also involved in community service, including food bank volunteering and elementary tutoring.
