About Amy Friers

Amy Friers holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in International Relations from Syracuse University. She lived and worked in Afghanistan for five years during which time she was part of the team that founded the University of Afghanistan, where she served as the Vice-Chancellor and a professor. She also managed the number one ranked law firm in Kabul and served as the acting CEO of a consortium of five development companies. After returning to the US, she was the Director of Outreach for Team Afghan Power, a charity focused on using renewable energy to improve educational outcomes in rural Afghanistan. She currently sits on the advisory board of the Association of the Association of Wartime Allied and remains actively involved in assisting those in Afghanistan.
