James P. Kaufman

Jim Kaufman began his career with the Attorney General’s office, criminal division for two years then continued on to work with the Department of Finance for three years. Jim then made the switch into private practice in 1978 where he specialized in Guardianship, Conservatorship, Trust, Probate, and Estate matters.

Jim is a member of the Tax, Probate, and Tax Law Section of the Idaho State Bar (past president), Treasure Valley Estate Planning Council (past president), Boise Estate Planning Council, and a past member of the Fiduciary Review Committee (past president), Supreme Court Guardianship Committee, and the Idaho Guardianship and Fiduciary Association. Jim was a seminar presenter for the National Business Institute for ten years. Mr. Kaufman is now “of counsel” with Gravis Law PLLC.

Outside of work, Jim can be found riding his bike, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his grandkids.
