Erin Clifft

Raised in Colorado Springs, Erin Clifft is a devoted estate planning and probate administration attorney with Gravis Law who helps clients put together practical, effective plans to protect and care for their loved ones during life’s most difficult moments, death and incapacity. Erin’s path into estate planning wasn’t a straight line. She began her legal career in personal injury before shifting into family law and child welfare work, where she spent much of her career serving as a Guardian ad Litem for Colorado children in abuse, neglect, and delinquency cases.

Erin practices Estate Planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives, along with Probate Administration, guiding families through the process of settling a loved one’s estate. She is looking to expand into special needs trusts and Medicaid asset protection planning in the years ahead, building on the foundation she has already established.

Erin lives for the human side of estate planning. In 2021, she experienced a personal loss that led her to step back, grieve, and eventually train as a mediator, an experience that reshaped how she practices law today. She is open about being a widow, and she draws on that experience to help her clients navigate the hard conversations that come with planning ahead. She believes those conversations are unavoidable if a plan is truly going to reflect what a family needs, and she approaches them with warmth, patience, and honesty.

Erin is passionate about being there for her clients beyond the paperwork. She believes every family deserves clear communication, direct answers, and a plan built around their actual goals and values, not a one size fits all template. Whether she’s helping someone plan for the future after a marriage, the birth of a child, a divorce, or the loss of a loved one, Erin’s goal is to make sure her clients feel supported and understood every step of the way.

Erin is proud of the winding path that led her here. She served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Texas A&M University School of Law Journal of Real Property Law, litigated a jury trial case in a dependency and neglect matter through to adjudication, and has spent years volunteering as a mediator and facilitator with organizations including Oval Options, the Restorative Denver Program, and the Neighborhood Justice Center. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Colorado Bar Association’s Elder Law and Trust and Estates sections.

When she’s not at work, Erin enjoys spending time with her dog, Biscuit, and her cat, Scout. She has also volunteered with Food to Power, a local food access nonprofit, and hopes to get back involved as her schedule allows.
