Simone Green
Senior Attorney II
Background
Based in Tacoma, Washington, Simone N. Green is a Senior Attorney II with Gravis Law, where she focuses her practice on family law. With 23 years of practice, Simone brings a depth of experience and a steady, grounded presence to every matter she handles.
Simone’s approach to family law is collaborative, empathetic, and unapologetically practical. She is not focused on winning for the sake of winning. Her goal is to help clients reach outcomes that are satisfactory, sustainable, and set the foundation for healthier lives after litigation. She is level-headed in tense moments, clear about legal risks and rights, and always focused on the next actionable step. When you work with Simone, you can expect candor, strategy, and a lawyer who genuinely cares about where you end up.
Her background is as distinctive as her approach. Before joining Gravis Law, Simone served as Director of Prosecution and Probation for the Puyallup Tribe of Indians from 2005 to 2010, a role that gave her rare insight into tribal justice systems and community-centered legal work. She is licensed in Washington State and admitted to practice in multiple tribal courts, including the Lummi Indian Nation Tribal Court, the Puyallup Tribal Court, and the Suquamish Tribal Court, a breadth of admission that reflects her longstanding commitment to serving Indigenous communities and historically underrepresented populations.
Simone is deeply committed to pro bono service. She actively provides legal assistance within Pierce County with a focus on active-duty military, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, and indigent and historically marginalized populations. She also volunteers in her community by organizing support for elders, helping coordinate seasonal yard maintenance, refuse removal, and winter safety tasks through networks of family and friends.
Simone handles a wide range of family law matters including dissolution and divorce, custody and visitation, child support, adoption, paternity, guardianship, modification and relocation, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, juvenile dependency, emancipation, name changes, terminations, and more. She also handles misdemeanor criminal defense and expungements and is particularly passionate about serving clients who have historically been judged or overlooked by the legal system, including those with criminal records, members of marginalized communities, and anyone who has struggled to find an attorney willing to meet them where they are.
Simone earned her Bachelor of Arts from The Evergreen State College in 1997 and her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law in 2002. She is admitted to practice in Washington State and is a member of the Washington State Bar Association.
Outside of her legal practice, Simone is passionate about energy work including Reiki, sound healing, and meditation. She also enjoys travel, reading, and kickboxing, pursuits that reflect the same balance of discipline, curiosity, and intentionality she brings to her work every day.
