Background

Sierra Poore is a 2025 Summer Intern with Gravis Law. Originally from Glendale, Arizona, Sierra is currently pursuing her legal education at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Her academic journey began at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she honed skills in storytelling and public communication—skills that continue to inform her approach to legal work.

Sierra has been interested in the law for as long as she can remember. Her passion lies in making a real, tangible difference in people’s lives. Though she is still exploring practice areas through a summer rotation, she is deeply motivated by the ability of law to be a tool for justice, healing, and empowerment.

One of Sierra’s proudest accomplishments is her work supporting students with disabilities through policy changes that promoted access and equity. She brings that same dedication to her legal work, always striving to meet clients where they are and advocate for their long-term well-being.

She believes the key to success is giving your best effort in everything you do and showing up with authenticity and heart. What she enjoys most about the legal profession is the opportunity to affect meaningful change and build lasting connections through service.

Outside of her legal studies, Sierra enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active outdoors, and taking care of her many houseplants—which she lovingly calls her “leafy children.”
