Gravis Law hires new COO to lead growth.

Richland, Washington – September 12, 2017

Gravis Law welcomes a new attorney-COO, Chad Wold, to help lead the firm’s recent growth.  Gravis which is headquartered in Richland, WA currently has other law offices in Dayton and Bellingham and will be opening another law office in Yakima and Montana in mid-September.  Brett Spooner, the Managing Partner of Gravis, is excited to have Wold join the team, saying “his cutting edge and technological approach is a perfect fit for the firm’s continued growth and expansion into brand new markets.”  Spooner explained in addition to Yakima and Montana, they anticipate opening offices in other markets in the PNW.

Spooner is also enthusiastic about the relocation to their new office in the Richland historic Parkway.  Gravis will be expanding its private office, as well as maintaining its Business Law presence in Fuse SPC, a local business and community accelerator, in which Spooner is also a co-founder.

Gravis helps structure new companies from the ground up and is the law firm used by many of the companies in the Fuse ecosystem which has successfully launched over 80 new companies from the Fuse Launch Accelerator programming. As the companies grow Gravis is taking efforts to accommodate the expanding needs of the rapidly growing ecosystem to accommodate: mergers and acquisitions, private equity financing, and intellectual property.  Spooner says, “it is this type of full legal service we want to provide entrepreneurs and existing medium to larger companies at scalable and affordable rates as they grow.”  Spooner is also excited that Wold will be able to bring years of experience in mergers, acquisitions and structuring of private placement memorandums to the additional offered legal services for members of Fuse and clientele of Gravis.

Wold also brings a breadth of experience as a practicing attorney and in operation management of numerous companies. A native son of Montana, Wold attended the University of Montana for undergraduate studies in business & marketing, graduate studies at the University of Oxford in international law and business, and obtained his law degree from the University of Buckingham.

As an attorney, Wold’s practice has spanned years of complex litigation, domestic and international business ventures, business structuring, partnership transactions, mergers and acquisitions, EB-5, and private equity transactions. He has also provided General Counsel services to small and mid-sized enterprises both within the United States and internationally. Wold served on the defense team for Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber.

Wold has years of operational experience both in law firms and general business enterprises. He has managed private equity firms, such as Bledsoe Capital Group which focused on investing in emerging technology companies. Most recently Chad has been the Managing Director/General Counsel for Pacific Rim Partners and was responsible for leading the raise of $300MM+ primarily in China for U.S.-based projects.

Wold’s unique approach and excitement for expansion at Gravis is contagious; which the team will need to keep up with the firm’s fast-paced growth.
