Michael Steele
Attorney II
Background
When Michael Steele talks about his passion for problem-solving, you can hear it in his voice. As a Senior Attorney at Gravis Law, he’s found his calling in family law—a practice area that demands both sharp legal thinking and genuine human connection. For Michael, there’s nothing more satisfying than helping families find their way through turbulent times and emerge stronger on the other side.
Michael’s path to law began in Salt Lake City, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Management from Brigham Young University before heading to Marquette University for his Juris Doctor. What really drew him to the legal profession wasn’t just the intellectual challenge—it was the chance to make a real difference in people’s lives during their most vulnerable moments.
Since being admitted to practice in Idaho in 2017, Michael has become known for his ability to truly listen. While family law is his primary focus, his experience in civil litigation and business matters gives him a well-rounded perspective that serves his clients well.
Outside the office, Michael’s interests reveal someone who appreciates both precision and creativity. A former professional dancer with over three decades of experience, he still judges national clogging competitions. When he’s not traveling to competitions, you might find him behind a drum kit or saxophone, exploring co-op video games with his wife, or catching the latest film that everyone’s talking about.
It’s this blend of analytical thinking, creative problem-solving, and genuine care for people that makes Michael the kind of attorney clients recommend to their friends and family—someone who doesn’t just handle your case, but helps you navigate one of life’s most challenging chapters with dignity and hope.
