Background

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Soheila F. Sarrafan is an Attorney with Gravis Law whose practice focuses on family law matters throughout Washington State. She is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate difficult transitions by providing clear, practical guidance and thoughtful advocacy.

Soheila’s legal career spans both the public and private sectors. She has served in criminal defense, family law, and as an Assistant Seattle City Attorney. Throughout her career, she has worked with individuals facing highly emotional and often life-changing circumstances, helping them understand their options and move forward with confidence. Her ability to remain calm, objective, and solutions-focused has become a hallmark of her practice.

In addition to her litigation experience, Soheila has a strong interest in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. She completed mediation training through the King County Dispute Resolution Center in 2016, volunteered with the Seattle Small Claims Court pre-trial mediation program, and earned her Northwestern University Mediation Skills Training Certificate in 2024. She is also a Board Member of the King County Dispute Resolution Center.

Soheila believes family law begins with listening. She takes the time to understand each client’s priorities and concerns, asks thoughtful questions, and focuses on the issues that will have the greatest impact on their future. Her goal is to help clients navigate a complicated legal system while providing practical options and realistic expectations.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington and her Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Washington and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.

Outside of her legal practice and volunteer work, Soheila enjoys spending time with family and friends and remains deeply connected to the King County community she has called home for most of her life.
