Martin Ray Kilmer

Raised in Colorado, Martin Kilmer is the accomplished Chief Operating Officer for Gravis Law. He is passionate about legal technology and the development of tools and systems that help lawyers become better practitioners. Martin no longer directly takes on clients and instead focuses on managing the business side of the firm while continuing to advance his interest in innovative legal solutions.

Martin was recently invited to join the Advisory Committee for the Customer Experience Certificate Program at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. This invitation-only committee recognizes leaders with strong professional accomplishments and provides strategic insights to help shape a program delivered in partnership with Zschool. Martin will begin serving with the committee in 2026.

His proudest professional achievement is his leadership in the multi-year redesign of the lexis.com research platform, where he spearheaded a global transformation that significantly improved the legal community’s access to information and enhanced support for clients across the industry.

Martin values the legal profession for its essential role in upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights and privileges of society. He finds deep fulfillment in helping others overcome challenges and discover effective solutions.

Away from the office, Martin enjoys horseback riding, golfing, hunting, fishing, outdoor projects, and taking part in community events. He sits on the Board of Faith House Elk Grove and, alongside his wife, sponsors multiple children through international wellness organizations. He is also certified in Pragmatic Marketing (Product Management).
