Eric S. Duff
Associate Attorney
Background
Eric S. Duff is an Associate Attorney with Gravis Law in Lewiston, Idaho, focusing on estate planning and probate matters. Working with clients in Idaho and Washington, Eric helps individuals and families prepare for the future, understand their estate planning options, and navigate the responsibilities that arise following the loss of a loved one.
Eric believes that effective estate planning begins with a clear understanding of each client’s circumstances, priorities, and wishes. Rather than approaching the process as a series of documents to complete, he emphasizes gathering the information necessary to develop recommendations that reflect the client’s individual goals. His approach centers on open communication and helping clients understand the decisions they are making.
Estate planning often involves questions that clients have not previously considered, from how their assets will be distributed to who will make important decisions on their behalf. Eric works to explain these considerations in straightforward terms, providing clients with the information they need to evaluate their options and make informed choices.
His practice also includes probate matters, where he assists clients in understanding the legal processes involved in administering an estate. Recognizing that these responsibilities often arise during difficult circumstances, Eric strives to make the process more manageable through practical guidance and clear expectations.
Before joining Gravis Law, Eric gained legal experience through an internship at Kerr Ferguson Law and as a Washington Rule 9 Legal Intern with the Grant County Prosecutor’s Office. These experiences provided opportunities to develop his legal research, analytical, and practical skills while working within different areas of the legal profession.
Eric earned his Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Boise State University. He successfully passed the Idaho Bar Examination in 2026.
Eric approaches his work with an emphasis on transparency, accessibility, and thoughtful communication. His goal is to ensure clients have the information and support they need to make decisions that reflect their wishes and provide direction for the future.
