Ruvim V. Kuznetsov
Senior Attorney III
Background
Ruvim V. Kuznetsov is a Senior Attorney and Principal with Gravis Law in Lewiston, Idaho, practicing in the firm’s Financial Institutions and Creditors’ Rights practice group. Representing state and federally chartered credit unions, private finance companies, and regional commercial lenders throughout Idaho and Washington, Ruvim provides practical, business-minded counsel both inside and outside the courtroom.
Financial institutions and commercial enterprises face legal challenges that extend beyond statutes and regulations. From lending operations and risk management to corporate governance and property interests, Ruvim understands the importance of addressing legal concerns within the broader context of a client’s business.
As ongoing counsel to more than half a dozen credit unions across the Pacific Northwest, he advises institutional clients on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and complex commercial transactions. His work with financial institutions allows him to recognize emerging industry trends and develop practical strategies that address clients’ operational and financial priorities.
Beyond his financial institution practice, Ruvim represents property owners and a diverse range of commercial clients, including general contractors, real estate developers, building material suppliers, and local small businesses. He assists these clients with real estate matters, commercial transactions, and disputes that affect their operations and financial interests.
When litigation becomes necessary, Ruvim represents clients in state, federal, and tribal courts. His practice includes lender liability defense, adversary bankruptcy proceedings, receiverships, judicial and nonjudicial foreclosures, commercial collections, loan restructurings, and workout negotiations. He also handles judgment enforcement, mechanics’ liens, and complex credit disputes.
Ruvim approaches each matter with an emphasis on efficiency, responsiveness, and protecting his clients’ business interests. Whether advising a credit union on a regulatory issue or representing a commercial client in litigation, he works to identify practical solutions and move matters toward resolution.
Before joining Gravis Law, Ruvim was a Partner Attorney at Creason Burris Kuznetsov, formerly Creason, Moore, Dokken & Geidl, PLLC.
Ruvim graduated summa cum laude from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2016. While attending law school, he served as Chief Managing Editor of the Idaho Law Review for the 2015-2016 academic year and received the publication’s Outstanding Editor Award. He also graduated summa cum laude from Washington State University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Ruvim immigrated to the United States from Ukraine in 1995. Fluent in Russian and conversational in Ukrainian, he has a particular appreciation for helping hardworking individuals and business owners navigate the legal aspects of their professional and personal goals.
