Mitch Smithpeter was born and raised in Cheney, WA, where he grew up immersed in music, the outdoors, and history. Mr. Smithpeter attended Eastern Washington University where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2013. He then received a Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School in 2017 where he also served as President of the school’s chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. Following graduation, he and his wife returned home to Washington.
Mr. Smithpeter primarily practices family law and estate planning. He currently focuses on dependency cases, working as an attorney for parents in the Spokane area. Mr. Smithpeter also volunteers in family court weekly with the Spokane County Bar’s Volunteer Lawyers Program.
When not working, Mr. Smithpeter can be found spending time with family, doing something fun outside, playing guitar, or reading.
