Matt Johnson

Attorney At Law - Partner

"[A]n Ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure." Pennsylvania Gate (Feb. 4 1735) (Benjamin Franklin writing under the pseudonym "old citizen")

Mr. Johnson earned his law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law with honors in 2014. Prior to earning his law degree, his entrepreneurial spirit inspired him to start two companies. The first company was derived from his passion for competitive dirt bike racing. He designed a product that stopped blisters from forming on the racers’ hands during long endurance races. The second company cut manufacturer’s machine maintenance costs by providing a unique replacement parts service. Before starting these companies, he was deeply involved in the manufacturing industry. He led a large manufacturing plant to become one of the most profitable plants in the company, year after year, beginning in 2003 after earning his Bachelor’s degree from Washington State University, until he relocated in 2010.

Mr. Johnson’s problem-solving and innovative persona was apparent at a young age. He began working at 14 years old in a local scrap metal yard and during his high school and college years he worked as an auto mechanic, an auto body technician, a farm laborer, a metal and welding fabricator, a tow truck operator, and even built tour edition NASCAR race engines.

Mr. Johnson currently volunteers with the Dayton Lions Club and serves as a member of the Columbia County Fair Board. His community involvement is a central component to staying updated with Dayton’s citizens. When he isn’t at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering, fishing, golfing, and anything else outdoor related.
